Jul 18, 2009

Sweet Republic opened its’ doors in summer 2008 and quickly gained national attention for the innovative flavors, craftsmanship and use of organic and premium ingredients. The hand crafted artisan ice cream is made with simple and pure ingredients. Every batch starts with milk and cream from independent Arizona dairy farms.

There are 24 flavors of ice cream, sorbet and yogurt prepared daily. Some of the flavor creations include salted butter caramel swirl, refreshing basil lime soret and cheese course duo—a pairing of blue cheese and Arizona Medjool dates. Also, try the real mint chip—made with fresh mint leaves and flakes of chocolate or the almond buttercrunch, apple pie and earl grey tea flavors!

Enjoy one or more of the Sweet Republic flavors in a sundae form. Try the camp fire s’mores—made with a double scoop of Belgian chocolate, toasted handmade marshmallows and hot fudge in a waffle bowl.

Sweet Republic also makes cookies, toppings, sauces and waffle cones from scratch to insure that the highest quality ingredients are used. There are no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or hydrogenated oils in any of Sweet Republic’s products.

Other sweet treats include ice cream cakes, cupcakes, pies and sandwiches. Also a variety of cookies including molasses spice, chocolate chip walnut oatmeal, cranberry oatmeal and peanut butter.

The food isn’t the only thing that’s attractive about Sweet Republic. There is also an environmentally conscious design element and a practice of using sustainable products and recycling at this spot. All plastics and glasses are recycled, and many of the design elements incorporate renewable resources. From the table tops made out of sorghum stalks to the Braille paneling made from bamboo pulp you will find an intriguing story behind just about every element of Sweet Republic.
