As a board-certified plastic surgeon, I have had the opportunity to learn detailed human anatomy, and have been able to put this knowledge into practice during hundreds of cosmetic procedures of the face and body including liposuction and eyelid surgery. Through working with some of the best plastic surgeons in the country, I have become adept at judging symmetry and aesthetic beauty. Technical skills and an artistic eye are not all that is necessary to achieve success in plastic surgery. The relationship of trust that develops between surgeon and patient is ultimately what contributes to surgical success. My personal philosophy in plastic surgery is to achieve the most natural result possible, and at the Scottsdale Center for Plastic Surgery, I do this by evaluating every patient individually, tailoring the techniques based on their unique anatomy and through careful communication.

I was very apprehensive going into my first consultation with Dr. Cohen. I'm from the Midwest where cosmetic surgery is not as common and to some, considered vain and excessive. But after multiple pregnancies, I was unhappy with the appearance of my stomach and chest despite my considerable efforts at the gym.
Upon meeting Dr. Cohen, I was immediately put at ease by his knowledge, experience and professionalism. He addressed all of my questions and concerns, no matter how mundane the concern or minute the detail.
I was also extremely nervous about the surgery itself, having never even been under general anesthesia. Again, Dr. Cohen and his team took excellent care of me. I truly feel that I was each person's top and only priority that day. From my first visit to my last follow up, they knew me by name, addressed my every need and returned every phone call immediately.
The results of my procedure ( mommy make over ) are stunning. I never dreamed that my body could look this way. Dr. Cohen completely restored my stomach and provided me with an overall proportional frame. I did not want to look heavy and wanted to look as natural as possible -- Dr. Cohen's work is spot on. This experience has changed my life and I would highly highly recommend Dr. Cohen and the team at Scottsdale Center for Plastic Surgery.

Pregnancy for me was never easy; pre-maturity, bed rest, gestational diabetes, you name it. Even though I have two wonderful children and it all seemed worth it, I would still look into the mirror and not see me. Instead, I saw a body ravaged by carrying straight out and breastfeeding, someone I didn’t recognize. I felt constant soreness in my breasts after feeding my children took them from a C to a EE and no matter how hard I tried exercising, my belly just stayed at 5 months pregnant. It took a long time to come to the decision that I deserved to feel good about myself and that pregnancy took me beyond what I could do for myself and that plastic surgery could truly help me.
Having a mommy makeover was the best decision I have ever made for my body and myself. I don’t think anyone could have carried me through the process like Dr. Cohen and his staff. Every step of the way, I was given care, concern, encouragement, and respect. Dr. Cohen is an amazing listener and his ability to communicate is flawless. I felt that I got to know Dr. Cohen not only as a world-class surgeon but also as a person. This made me feel completely comfortable and allowed me to form a significant level of trust, one I have never had with any other doctor. Dr. Cohen also keeps current in his field by reviewing the literature from his field and often uses advanced techniques before they are published! I never felt nervous about any of my procedures, because I trusted him and his amazing surgical skill so much. I am sure everyone receives this excellent care, but following my surgery I felt like I was his only patient and that he was giving me the utmost care from post-op to every follow up. He was kind, genuine, and seemed to know exactly the demeanor I needed for each step of my experience. I have never been so confident in a decision as my choice to have surgery and to have Dr. Cohen as my doctor. I am thankful everyday.
And Dr. Cohen’s staff… amazing, professional, experienced, knowledgeable, wonderful, fun, and kind. Mary, Bri, and Cassie are all professional, intelligent, and truly wonderful individuals. I thought they not only did an excellent job but they went above and beyond by making me feel a part of their family. Together they create the perfect team that helped move through each step of the process easily. The surgical team and post-op nurses were also skilled, supportive, and down right fabulous. I felt safe and fully cared for, which is saying a lot because I usually need to feel like I can take care of myself. To feel like I could trust everyone I worked with and let them care of me was incredible.
But the best part of course, are the amazing results. I look in the mirror and think, “there you are, I am so grateful your back”. I feel whole again, beautiful on the inside and out, complete, at peace. I am not a super model, I am beautiful as me, I was given the best and I look the best, perfectly proportioned and appropriate for me. I take better care of myself already without even knowing it. I stand taller, walk with confidence, and finally smile when I get a glimpse of myself as I walk by. I wouldn’t be here without Dr. Cohen, and it wouldn’t have been the same with anyone else.

My experience at Scottsdale Center for Plastic Surgery was amazing. Everyone was so nice and there was always someone available to answer my questions and concerns. One of the most important things I can say about my experience is that I was never at any moment even the slightest bit nervous or scared. As my surgery date got closer everyone would also ask me if I was getting nervous and I would always say no. I thought for sure that naturally I would be nervous the day of my surgery but I was surprisingly very calm. It was then that I realized that I was never nervous because I had nothing to be nervous about. I was so comfortable with Dr. Cohen and confident that I was going to walk out of there completely satisfied with my results that I never had to worry. It was the best feeling I could have possibly had in such a situation. I recommend everyone I know to Dr. Cohen and I will be forever grateful for everything they have done for me.
