“AAEC Red Mountain is an amazing school. I am attending my second year at the school, and I love it. The courses are very challenging for the most part, but if students put effort into their work, it should be no problem. The teachers are very helpful and friendly, and they have become like family to me. They work hard to make their students feel confident. The student community is very small and close. At the beginning of last year I was unsure about how I would fit in, but by the end of the year my many new friends had helped me feel comfortable. Now, I am a part of the Student Ambassadors club at AAEC and love to help new students feel welcome. I believe anyone could feel welcome here in our community, and I would recommend this wonderful school to any dedicated student. -Anna H. (Sophomore)”

“AAEC Red Mountain is a wonderful, small high school experience. The curriculum is adequately challenging and the teachers are all wonderful. Also, don't let the name fool you - students don't need to be into horses to enjoy this school. The program is fundamentally college prep and horses are an optional program. Check it out for yourself!”

“I would rank AAEC Red Mountain as my favorite school out of the five I have attended. After only one year there I find myself loving the school. The classes are pretty easy, as long as you pay attention and don t procrastinate on doing your work. The small class sizes make it a comfortable environment. The small student population means that everyone knows each other. We all help and befriend one another. The college classes are challenging but as a new student you start with just a few classes and that number gradually increases, this makes the adjustment a smooth one. They have a wonderful horse program for people with anywhere from no experience to years of experience. Overall I m glad I have had the chance to attend this school and look forward to another great year.”

“I am so excited that my husband found this school. Our son has always excelled academically and we were looking for a challenging place to put him. From the start the principal, Ms. LaFontain, took the time to work with him one-on-one to make sure he was in classes that challenged him. He also took two college classes this past year that AAEC paid for. This has been a wonderful opportunity for him because he will enter the university with 60 college credit hours all paid for by AAEC.”

“My son is entering his sophomore year at AAEC, and he is doing great. At first he was struggling a little with the amount of work the teachers were asking of him, but I he has adjusted. I am really glad that I found a school that is dedicated to pushing students to succeed instead of just passing them along. I feel very confident that when he does go to a university he will be prepared. And thank goodness they pay for his community college classes!”

“* Poor admnistration * Too few adults, too liberal of a campus * Small student to teacher ratio wasn't the case * The extraciricular horse activities are geared for the girls. * It is supposed to be a college prep atmosphere but the are left to sink or swim in their college classes-great lack of support. * Lack of communication between teachers and admin and parents - no united front.”
