Founded in 1999, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art [SMoCA] is the only museum in Arizona devoted to the art, architecture and design of contemporary times. Global in its focus, the Museum is a unique and vital cultural resource for the Southwest. Designed by award-winning architect Will Bruder, SMoCA's minimalist building has five galleries for showcasing changing exhibitions.
The Scottsdale Public Art Program encourages residents and visitors to explore the City's Public Art Collection. Sculpture and integrated artworks are located throughout the City in parks, libraries, along roadways, in public buildings and in other public places.
The annual Celebration of Fine Art is one of the city’s most anticipated events. More than 100 artists set up working studios so viewers can watch art develop. Art in all styles and mediums is available.
