Scottsdale Arizona Hyatt Hotel

I have been officially based in Arizona for 10 years now and have loved the desert even more over the years. When my stepdaughter recently turned 11, we packed up the family and checked into the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale for the first time. After using the 4 p.m. cash desk at Arizona Biltmore and booking a King Room where we booked a room for $99 for 99% off, we drove to the hotel.

The balcony is small but has beautiful views of the city and plenty of natural light, as well as a small pool and terrace.

If you need a break from the kids for a while, there is a separate adult - only pool in the hotel. There is a lot more to do at the resort, but if you can lure your kids away from this pool, there is no better place to do it than in Scottsdale.

Surrounded by native cacti in the Sonoran Desert, this hotel is just a short drive from Scottsdale Fashion Mall. The hotel is adjacent to Gainey Ranch Golf Club and Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport is a 20-minute drive away.

It is recommended to drive to Scottsdale, but there is a public bus stop 10 minutes away. Those who want to challenge themselves on their hike can take the daily shuttle service to Camelback Mountain. One of the things no other resort in Arizona has, which has the Hyatt Regency Scottingdale, is the gondola ride. Make sure to book an exit from the hotel to the top of Camelback Mountain and back to your hotel.

In addition to outdoor adventures, you can visit two living museums that showcase two different aspects of the Sonoran region. The resort also has a great playground where you can climb, play table tennis, fish and even play giant jenga and giant chess. Guests can also enjoy the beach at Hyatt Regency Scottingdale with its sand toys for children to play with, so you don't have to worry about packing them in. It has sand to play with, a beach volleyball court, a pool and a picnic area for the children by the pool.

Most days, even in the mild Arizona winter months, the front entrance is completely open, leading to the main salon, which opens to more outdoor seating. The balcony overlooks the Sonoran Desert and the hotel's golf course, and for most of the day it is a great place to relax.

Surrounded by glittering pools and waterfalls, it's a great place to take a break without leaving the beautiful Arizona sun. We would have liked to spend more time in the pool, but we were too busy to be late for check-out and could not open the lobby in time for our 5.30 pm departure from the hotel.

The facilities are infinitely better and the resort as a whole is much nicer and newer, with mediocre to elite recognition. Fascinated by the hotel market out of season, we asked about the occupancy of the hotel and were told that it was booked out to less than 20%.

Hyatt Resorts has long been known for providing supervised programs for children that offer fun and education in equal measure. The Hyatt has done a great deal to make golf affordable for families through its Junior Tees program. Camp Hyatt's Kachina maintains children with a Native American Environmental Learning Center, which is supervised by a team of teachers from the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service.

Set against the backdrop of the majestic McDowell Mountains, you can relax and enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch indoors or outdoors. Hyatt Scottsdale Hotel and Spa also offers spa and lunch services. Spa services include a spa, fitness center, pool, spa, and fitness room.

Walk through the hotel with a guide and head toward the Native American Cultural Center at the Hyatt Scottsdale Hotel and Spa. While answering questions about the history of the Indians, artefacts and other exhibits, you will be supported in activities and guided through the Indian culture.
